Rummy Ludo - Responsible Gaming
Rummy Ludo responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.
Play within your limits
At Rummy Ludo, the ludo game should always be entertainment, never a financial strategy. Before every session, decide on a fixed rupee amount you are genuinely comfortable losing, the same way you would budget for a movie ticket or a dinner out. A practical starting point for casual players is ₹100 to ₹500 per week; once that amount is gone, close the app and wait until the next budget period resets. Never dip into money set aside for rent, EMIs, groceries, or savings.
Chasing losses is the single most common path from recreational play to problem gambling. If a session goes badly, accept the result and step away, depositing extra to "win it back" almost always deepens the deficit. Similarly, treat any winnings as a bonus rather than reliable income. Balance your ludo game sessions with exercise, socialising, and other hobbies so gaming remains one activity among many, not the centrepiece of your day.
Warning signs of problem gambling
Problem gambling rarely announces itself, it creeps in gradually through small behavioural shifts. Watch for these specific signals: spending more time or money on the ludo game than you planned; feeling restless or irritable when you are unable to play; lying to family members about how much you have deposited; borrowing money or selling items to fund sessions; and using gameplay to escape stress, loneliness, or anxiety rather than to have fun. If three or more of these apply to you, the habit has likely moved beyond healthy recreation.
Financial red flags are equally important. If your PhonePe, GPay, or BHIM transaction history shows daily deposits you do not recall authorising, or if you are paying bills late because of gaming spend, those are concrete warning signs. Emotional signals include mood swings tied directly to wins and losses, persistent thoughts about the next session throughout the workday, and withdrawal from friends or family to play instead. Recognising these patterns early gives you the best chance of regaining control without lasting harm.
Deposit, loss and time limits
Rummy Ludo provides built-in limit tools accessible directly from your account settings. You can set a daily deposit limit (e.g., ₹200/day), a weekly loss limit (e.g., ₹1,000/week), or a session time limit (e.g., 60 minutes per sitting). Once a limit is reached, the platform automatically blocks further deposits or gameplay for that period. To activate limits: open the app → tap your profile icon → select Responsible Gaming → choose the limit type → enter your preferred value → confirm with your registered mobile OTP.
Increases to any limit take 72 hours to come into effect, giving you a mandatory reflection window before higher spending becomes possible. Reductions apply immediately. We recommend reviewing your limits every month alongside your UPI statement, cross-reference your PhonePe or GPay history with your in-app deposit log to get an honest picture of total spend. Setting limits is not an admission of weakness; it is the same discipline a sensible investor uses when capping monthly equity exposure.
Self-exclusion and cool-off
If limits alone are not enough, Rummy Ludo offers two stronger intervention tools. A cool-off period temporarily suspends your account for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days, ideal when you notice a short-term spike in play and want a structured pause without fully closing your account. A self-exclusion locks the account for a minimum of 90 days up to 5 years. During any exclusion, your saved payment methods are removed and no marketing communications are sent to you.
To request either option, go to Profile → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion or email [email protected] from your registered address. Unlike a simple deposit limit, self-exclusion cannot be reversed mid-period, this deliberate friction is intentional, giving you genuine breathing room rather than a quick opt-out. If you have excluded yourself and accidentally create a second account, please notify us immediately; we will close it without penalty in line with responsible-gaming best practice.
